Outdoor AV installation for our local Newark community
We took a brief from Newark & Sherwood District Council to collaborate with the Acorns Project and provided outdoor lighting, sound and video for an AV installation at Newark Castle. The event ran over two weeks during Covid-19 lockdown and was therefore designed to be socially-distanced. as well as inclusive and accessible to all of the local community.
We supplied an outdoor modular IP-rated LED at 5m x 3m, comprising Absen Polaris 4.8mm panels ground-stacked within the castle walls. Architectural lighting transformed the ancient stone, with movement from Chauvet Maverick MK3 Profiles enhancing textural washes by Studio Due StudioLED 600’s. We secreted two outdoor PA systems in garden areas at opposite ends of the grounds, keeping the focus entirely on the audio content; spoken testimonials from local residents and reflective music by a solo trumpeter. We also supplied banner graphics for the bandstand and bespoke signage, including route maps.
